•It is a statement (not a research question).

•It states the expected result of your investigation.

•A hypothesis can be proven correct, incorrect or partially correct. Research results can support or refute/disprove your hypothesis.

•A hypothesis should include both the dependent and independent variables and the relationship  between them.

•The statement must be testable.

•It must be measurable in some way.

•Words like “might”, “I think” and “possibly” is unacceptable.
