LAYING A SOLID FOUNDATION 

JOURNAL FOR ALL EXPO PROJECTS

This is a record of ALL the work of the project – no matter how untidy it is!

  • Everything should be dated.

  • File all emails and rough data/results.

  • File notes from interviews.

  • File all designs, photos and plans.

  • File copies of articles read, either alphabetically or in order of importance.

  • File all survey questionnaires.

Deciding on a project topic

  • What are your personal interests or hobbies?

  • Research an interesting topic in one of your school subjects and allow it to develop   into a project.

  • Be aware of things your immediate environment and investigate them thoroughly.

  • Read newspapers and investigate a relevant topic.

  • Identify a need in the market and modify a current product or design a new one.

  • Identify a problem/need with people that you see or know, and find a solution for it.

  • An aspect of the sport that you do enjoy.

  • Why are some things done in one particular way and not another? Is there a better way?
